Striped Horse Blanket Hooded Coat | Upcycled Blanket Jacket

There’s a horse on the back. That’s the first thing to know about this coat.

The back panel is cut from a thrifted woven horse blanket in tan with orange and green. The rest is a heavy striped blanket in brown and blue-gray, with fleece blanket panels at the sides. The two large front pockets are trimmed with bias made from scrap fabric: green polka dot, green floral and brown plaid. Hood up or down.

Five snaps, no lining. The cuffs have bias trim and can be folded up. The fit is comfortable and slightly oversized.
