FAQ
WHAT IS FERAL FRIENDS CO.?
Feral Friends Co. is a curated mix of vintage, secondhand, and upcycled clothing — pieces rescued, repaired, or rebuilt so they can stay in circulation. Everything is sourced, cleaned, inspected, and restored with intention. Some items are ready as-is, others are reworked in the studio, and all are chosen for durability, character, and long-term wear.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
I’m based in Colorado and currently run pop-ups and sourcing trips throughout mountain towns, the surrounding region, and really all over the states. All online orders ship from the studio.
WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR PIECES?
Every piece is sourced one at a time from thrift trails, estate finds, vintage collectors, donation centers, and small hidden-gem spots I’ve collected over the years. I choose items based on fabric quality, construction, and how much life they still have left. No bulk buying, no overstock pallets — just good, solid finds.
ARE ITEMS CLEANED & READY TO WEAR?
Yes. Everything is washed, sanitized, steamed, or professionally cleaned depending on the fabric. Upcycled pieces are rebuilt or repaired and always delivered ready to wear.
DO ITEMS HAVE FLAWS?
Some vintage pieces have small signs of wear — that’s part of their story. Any notable marks, aging, repairs, or visible mending will always be mentioned in the description. I only sell items that are functional, wearable, and in good condition for long-term use.
HOW DO I KNOW IF SOMETHING WILL FIT?
Every listing includes size, fit notes, and whether a piece runs big, small, long, short, or true to size. If you ever need more info, just message me — I’m happy to send additional measurement details or photos.
DO YOU OFFER TRY-ONS?
Yes! You can try items on at pop-ups or schedule a personal shopping session. Virtual try-ons are available too — I can send videos and styling notes to help you decide.
DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM OR UPCYCLE REQUEST?
Yes. I offer custom upcycling, embroidery, tailoring, repairs, and from-scratch builds made from reclaimed materials. Visit the Custom Work page for details and how to start a project.
CAN I BRING MY OWN PIECE FOR A CUSTOM PROJECT?
Absolutely. Many projects start with garments you already own — especially if they’re sentimental, worn-in, or need structural help.
WHERE DO YOU SHIP?
I currently ship throughout the United States. International shipping may be added later or at an upcharge.
HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?
Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days. You’ll receive tracking information as soon as your order is on the way.
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?
Because each piece is one-of-a-kind, all sales are final. If you ever receive something that arrives damaged or not as described, please reach out — I always want you to be happy with your order.
CAN I COMBINE ORDERS TO SAVE ON SHIPPING?
If you place multiple orders before I ship, absolutely — just send an email to feralfriendsco@gmail.com and I’ll adjust your shipment.
WHERE CAN I SHOP IN PERSON?
I set up at local markets, festivals, and seasonal events throughout Colorado. Upcoming dates are listed on the Events & Personal Shopping page.
DO YOU OFFER IN PERSON APPOINTMENTS?
Yes. You can book a personal shopping session where I curate pieces in your size and style.
DO YOU RESTOCK ITEMS?
No — every piece is one-of-one. If you love something, grab it before someone else does. Upcycled designs occasionally return in new variations, but never identically.
DO YOU TAKE DONATIONS?
Sometimes. If you have quality garments made from durable fabrics (denim, canvas, wool, cotton, flannel), feel free to reach out — they may be perfect for upcycling or rebuilding.
