Multicolor Woven Stripe Blanket Camp Coat | Upcycled Chore Coat

A woven blanket, two placemats and a pocket off a pair of jeans, sewn into one coat. It works better than it sounds.

The body is a thrifted blanket in a bold, multicolor woven stripe. The two lower pockets are cut from table placemats and close with two pearl snaps each. The chest pocket is a denim jeans pocket. The bias trim is made from more of the blanket, and the inside is lined in linen and cotton from other upcycled fabrics.

Five snaps up the front. It’s a classic chore coat cut, comfortable and true to size.

• Closure: 5 front snaps, plus 2 pearl snaps on each lower pocket
• Pockets: 3 (2 lower placemat pockets, 1 denim chest pocket)
• Measurements (laid flat): pit to pit 23½ in, length 26½ in (high point of shoulder to hem), shoulder 19 in, sleeve 23½ in (shoulder seam to cuff)
• Care: Hand wash or gentle cycle. No dryer.
